As of the 2024 update, applicants can choose from three distinct categories based on their investment capacity and residency needs.

Property Ownership: Holders must purchase and maintain a residential property for at least 10 years. You may upgrade to a higher-value property during this period, but you cannot “downgrade” to a lower tier.
Financial Flexibility: After one year, you may withdraw up to 50% of your Fixed Deposit for approved expenses, including property purchases, healthcare, or local education.
Family & Dependents: You may include your spouse, parents, parents-in-law, and unmarried children (under age 34, provided they are not employed in Malaysia). There is no age limit for disabled children.
Domestic Help: You are permitted to apply for one foreign domestic helper, subject to Malaysian Immigration guidelines.
Taxation: Malaysia offers tax exemptions on foreign-sourced income and offshore pension funds remitted into the country.
Residency Requirement: To maintain the visa, participants must reside in Malaysia for a cumulative total of 60 to 90 days per year (requirements vary slightly by age and tier).
